WHY YOU SHOULD INVEST IN UFC STRIKE NFTS

WHY CHOOSE UFC STRIKE NFTS

If you are a dedicated sports fan and like me follow a lot of sports. Then you will undoubtedly have come across many Sports NFT platforms. Still little is known about NFTs and even less is understood. So maybe you are interested in possibly collecting NFTs, or maybe you're wondering if it's just a fad, or gimmick.

Honestly it's too early to tell. It could be the next great Fan Collectible, or it might be a niche item only tech savvy sports fans care about. Which makes you wonder if any of them are worth the risk? Well in my opinion there's one NFT platform that has the greatest chance of success, and that's UFC Strike.

UFC Strike has quite a few advantages over its competitors even though it's based upon a relatively new sport. The first UFC event was in 1993, but the popularity of the sport didn't really grow until The Ultimate Fighter show in 2005. Compare that to some of the other Sports NFTs on the market that highlight players from Soccer leagues in Europe, the NBA, the NFL, and MLB. At first glance you might be inclined to see that as a disadvantage but it's quite the opposite. Fans of the UFC are generally younger on average and have grown up in the digital age. They are less sceptical about digital products, and have a better understanding of what they have to offer.

The next advantage that's glaringly obvious is average career length in each sport. NFTs are so new that it could take a few years for them to catch on. So if you are investing in NFTS today you had better hope that the players you collect are either future Hall of Famers, or have long careers. Just like Sports Cards the first NFT released of a Hall of Fame player is likely to have long term value. Unlike Sports Cards Web3 applications provide additional value to active players because their NFTs can be utilized in gambling or game based online platforms. As an example during the NFL Season I assembled Fantasy Football rosters with my NFL All Day NFTs to win cash prizes based upon my Team's final ranking. It didn't cost anything additional to play. You just needed enough NFTs to assemble a team. So imagine that Sports NFTs catch on in 5 years. That would mean that the average MLB player in your collection today would already be out of the league. The average career length of an MLB player is around 2.7 years. The average NBA career is 4.5 years so the majority would be gone also. The average NFL career is 3.3 years so you're out of luck again. Mixed Martial Arts is just different. The average UFC fighter only fights 2 or 3 times a year. Unlike the NFL, NBA, and MLB there isn't a yearly draft where new athletes enter the league looking to take someone's spot. The average MMA career lasts over 12 years. Now most fighters end up fighting in multiple promotions so they might be out of the UFC in 5 years. Soccer is the next closest at an average of 8 years as a professional. Which means that a UFC Strike NFT has the highest chance of still being relevant in 5 years.

It was announced in February that UFC Strike has a new Web3 based game on the way later this year. The game is being developed by Concept Labs (formerly Concept Art House) who have worked on some major IPs in the gaming space. They've worked on Fortnite, Magic the Gathering, Hearthstone, League of Legends and many more. Partnering with a game developer that has that kind of pedigree can only mean growth for the platform. It is as simple as Supply and Demand. Currently there's more than enough supply for the 100 thousand plus Users on the platform. What happens if the release of this Web3 based game grows the number of Users dramatically? For the first time since UFC Strike began the Demand could exceed the Supply. Then the values of each NFT Moment on the Marketplace should rise.

Which brings me to the last major advantage. UFC Strike is a Dapper Labs product. Which means that instead of a simple digital sports card. UFC Strike NFTs are actual moments from each Fighter's career. Video clips of amazing knockouts, technical Submissions, or incredible demonstrations of fighting skill. Watching each Moment brings back memories of your favourite fighters in a way that simple pictures can't. Plus the UFC has begun adding epic fights to their Hall of Fame also. So imagine having not only a Hall of Fame UFC Fighter in your collection but also a key highlight from a Hall of Fame fight. The paths to becoming a valuable collectible are numerous. As a fan of Mixed Martial Arts I have an understanding of what qualifies as epic, so I know what to look for.

As of this writing on the Marketplace you can purchase UFC Strike NFTs for as low as $2 usd. Right now for only $3 usd you can buy a Jack Della Maddalena Moment. Jack Della Maddalena is only 26 years old, 14-2 as a professional fighter on a 14 fight win streak, and is 4-0 as a UFC Welterweight. He was on my fighters to watch list for 2023. Jack Della Maddalena is legit and only beginning his UFC career. I would expect him to still be relevant in 5 years. For $4 you can purchase Moments from well known fighters like Jiri Prochazka, Paddy Pimblett, Charles Oliveira, and Nate Diaz. Potential superstars like Khamzat Chimaev and Sean O'Malley are only $5 right now.

Opportunity is knocking! Will you answer the door? It's up to you but so you know that I'm not just all talk. I currently own 113 UFC Strike NFTs.
